A new ambulance drone has been unveiled by a Dutch Student which can reach the heart attack victims within minutes and save their lives. This life saving drone has been developed by a engineering graduate Alec Momont and can reach speeds of up to 100 km/hr and can carry a payload of 4 kg which means that it can carry a defibrillator to heart attack victims within minutes in a 12 mile radius and can save many precious live......

Close to 800,000 people suffer from cardiac arrest in European Union every year and only 8% of them make it to the hospital and survive the attack. The main reason for this low survival rate is the relatively longer response time around 10 minutes whereas brain death occurs in four to six minutes. The respective drone will increase the survival from 8 to 80 %.Instructions can also be issued via webcam by an instructor for correct usage of the medical equipment which can further push the chances of survival in an event of a cardiac arrest.
The drone is expected to cost around $19000(15000 euros) and tracks emergency mobile calls and uses GPS to navigate the position of the caller. The prototype has already attracted the attention of emergency services.Alec hopes to have a network of these life saving drone within Netherlands over the next five years.
