The name of Jahangir Khan needs no introduction.He is perhaps the best squash player this world has ever seen.Boasting an unmatched match winning streak of 555 matches he has left behind a great legacy.With all the super human achievements under his belt this man is nothing but a legend.He is right there with the likes of  Michael Jordan,Muhammad Ali,Roger Federer,Carl Lewis. The success story of Jahangir khan is a story of grit,determination,hard work and a perfect example of how one can rise from the ashes...........



Jahangir Khan

Jahangir Khan was born on 10 December 1963 in Karachi Pakistan.He was physically very weak and was advised by his doctors not to take part in any kind of sports,however,his passion to try out his family game kept him going. After undergoing two hernia operations he was allowed by his father to try out his family game but only under the guidance of his elder brother Torsam Khan.After the sudden death of his brother Jahangir considered quitting the game,but decided to continue as a tribute to his late brother.



In order to keep himself physically fit he had a very grueling fitness routine.His day would begin with a 14 km Jog which would normally lost for about 2 hours followed by short bursts of sprint.After that he would play practice matches followed by training with his coach and his day would end woth some practice in the gym.He would also travel to northern areas of Pakistan to train in high altitude fields with low oxygen levels.He experienced running all kinds of surfaces from knee deep waters,asphalt tracks,rugged field to custom built tracks.The result of this routine was a super fit athlete.

Initially Jahangir was not selected by the authorities due to his weak posture but he did not take this to his heart and instead entered the amateur Championship and stunned the world by becoming the youngest person to win the event at the age of only 15.Following are some of the achievements of this legend from Pakistan.
