Bahria Icon Tower is the tallest building under construction in Pakistan.The tower when completed in 2017 will be 62 stories high.The project also includes a second building which will be more than 45 stories high and will be used as a 5 star hotel

The total height of the building will be 270 meters.The Bahria Icon tower is located at one of the most prime locations of Karachi Shahrah-e-Firdousi next to the shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi near Clifton Beach.The corner plot will give this building accessibility from all key landmarks of the city.The building will not only be the tallest building of Pakistan but will also have the most advanced infrastructure and amenities that the 21st century has to offer.The project is being funded by Bahria Town the largest private housing society in Asia.
The construction of this landmark sky scraper was started in 2008.The Bahria Icon Tower is a multi use commercial building project.The building will be more than 800 feet tall and is being constructed on a 1.45 hectares plot located opposite to Bagh Ibn-e-Qasim in Clifton Karachi.Pakistan and World's premier construction companies and suppliers have been contracted to use their expertise for this project.All the steel for this project will be provided by the worlds largest steel supplier Arcelor Mittal. Around 2000 tonnes of W sections and around 72000 square meters of decking will be provided by Arcelor Mittal. Habib Rafiq Private Limited are the primary contractors for this project.The design of the building is provided by WSP Middle East.This is Pakistan's first building to have conducted wind tunnel tests.Having taken proactive initiative to ensure sustainable technologies it will feature a co generation plant,water filtration plant,building management system and an advanced communication system.Vertical Transport will employ high speed elevators including several double decker elevators also the first of its kind in Pakistan.All these premium systems will be integrated into the very core of the building.
