Early Life and Debut
Philip Hughes was a Cricketer who played cricket for Australia.He was born on 30th November 1988 and played domestic cricket for South Australia and Worcestershire.His father was a banana farmer.Hughes was also a very talented rugby player and played alongside Greg Inglis. He made his test debut for Australia in 2009 at the age of 20 scoring a duck on his debut and was dismissed by Dale Steyn. He top scored with 75 runs in the second innings of the match and helped Australia post a huge total of 454 runs which gave them a 1-0 lead in the series.He scored his maiden international hundred(115 runs) in his second test match at Kings mead Durban and went on to score another century (160) in the second innings. He made his ODI debut in 2013 vs Sri Lanka and top scored for his team with 112 runs and helped Australia post a match winning total of 305 runs.Hughes made his second match winning century in the fifth match of the series scoring 138 of Just 154 Balls.......ReadPhilip Hughes |

Death
During the Sheffield match between South Australia and New South wales at Sydney Cricket Ground Hughes was batting on 63 when he was struck by a bouncer bowled by Sean Abbot.He collapsed on the scene and was taken immediately to the Hospital where he was surgically operated and was put into an induced coma.Hughes died from his injuries just two days later on 27 November 2014 just 3 days before his 26th Birthday raising questions about the protective gear and the safety of players on cricket field.
