The seeds of this retail giant were sown by Sam Walton the founder of this retail business.Sam grew up during the Great Depression and had to do a variety of Jobs to make ends meet.He milked the family cow and sold the milk to the customers.He also delivered newspaper on a paper route and sold magazines for subscriptions.During his graduation he was employed as a waiter to support his education and also held a number of other low paying Jobs.After completing his graduation he joined the US military and eventually reached the rank of captain.He left the military service in 1945.
